Review of the 1st Brokers’ Convention 2019

The 1st Brokers’ Convention, which took place on 22 October 2019 under the motto “I’m looking you in the eye”, met with great interest. More than 200 participants followed the exciting presentations of experienced speakers in the Zurich Aura, who explored the question of how analog and digital can complement each other in the brokerage business.

Machine and human – how are they used correctly, how can synergy potential be exploited? Do brokers stand no chance against online platforms? Or will humans in all their facets continue to determine the success of the real estate agents in the future? Answers to these questions were provided, among others, by the successful author Anitra Eggler, who caused a sensation with her digital Detox book “Mail halten!”, the internationally renowned service expert Sabine Hübner and Reto Gurtner, visionary and architect of the White Arena Group in Flims Laax Falera. Conclusion: Even with increasing digitalization, personal contact with a real counterpart remains important and valuable – perhaps more so than ever. For the members of the Swiss Chamber of Real Estate Agents, this is a good starting point, because they have always worked in a “people business” as proven and tested experts.
